Rewritten article: A couple who fell in love on “Bachelor in Paradise” are both excited and a little nervous as they prepare to welcome their second child this year. Ashley Iaconetti Haibon and Jared Haibon, two familiar faces from the “Bachelor” franchise, got married back in 2019 and welcomed son Dawson into their lives just over a year ago.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Ashley shared her feelings about having another baby while also taking care of a toddler: “We’re pretty nervous [about] zero to two,” she said. “[But] obviously we want this and we’re so ready for them to be two and four…we just think that two little humans in charge, trying their hardest every day is going to be quite the feat.”
The current family of three resides in Rhode Island where they also own and operate Audrey’s Coffee House & Lounge. Jared revealed that this has been a lifelong dream for him: “I always wanted to own and operate my own place, and I’ve worked in restaurants my whole life,” he said with enthusiasm before adding: “I like manual labor.”
The Haibons mentioned they receive visitors from all around the country at their coffee shop. According to Jared: “That’s one of the most humbling parts for us – people come in, ‘Bachelor’ friends, and want to take pictures…It means a lot that fans travel so far just to be here.”
The couple is partnering with Dawn Professional to launch their new manual pot & pan dish detergent. Jared explained: “This has really cut down my time spent doing dishes at Audrey’s – you’re doing the best you can, and I feel that if you love your kid and protect them…you’re a great parent.”
Both parents stressed on self-love rather than ultra high expectations. Jared shared: “I think one of my biggest tips for new parents is to not hold yourself up against such strict standards – you’re doing the best that you can!” Ashley, meanwhile, added that she continues working hard at losing feelings associated with guilt: “Everyone struggles and there should be less self-induced shame,” she said. “Why would I feel guilty for going to do something just for myself or my family?”
The couple also suggested getting out of the house as much as possible, particularly during baby’s first year – although Ashley admitted it could seem like a hassle: “I know that leaving the house with an infant can be quite daunting – but most times its worthwhile.” In closing Jared emphasized parents to simply not overthink things and trust their instincts. “Don’t obsess too much about whether your baby should use this swing or stay in it for a certain amount of time,” he said, before adding: “Everything is fine!”
