Blue-Collar Voters Turning Against Democrats over Economic Woes, Says NY Union Leader

Robert Bartels, the manager of Steamfitters Local 638 in New York and a lifelong Democrat, stated during an appearance on ‘Fox & Friends’ that workers are abandoning the Democratic Party due to their dissatisfaction with current economic issues such as inflation, high gas prices, crime rates, and difficulties affording bills. Bartels emphasized his members want change for America regardless of party affiliation because they desire what is best for citizens in general. Despite Trump’s legal woes, he expressed confidence that workers will support him during the upcoming election due to their frustration with President Biden’s administration policies. During a recent visit by former president Donald Trump to New York City, Bartels explained how his members are fed up and want things to change as they live these challenges daily in places like New York City where crime rates continue escalating unchecked while being joined for safety protection needs amid lawmakers call upon public offices. Concerned residents including those within the construction industry that Trump met with at a building site during his visit are urging him and others to take action, given Biden’s classification as ‘the worst president in history’. In response, Bartels suggested he expects significant change among blue-collar voters who desire improvement for their daily living standards regardless of party politics. As it currently stands based on an April Wall Street Journal poll which surveyed seven states, Trump is leading Biden by six points in North Carolina and has a five-point lead over him in Arizona while holding four point advantages in Michigan, Pennsylvania as well Nevada – indicating significant backing among those in his previous electorate. Furthermore, although he noted the existence of criminal cases against trump being presented through courts’ efforts with some investigators from manhattan da Alvin bragg & jack smith (spec counsel), Bartels said that such issues do not impact how voters decide on their preferred candidate as they are more concerned about current economic and social challenges.
