Prince Charles and Mental Health Advocacy in Schools: Robert Hardman’s New Book and William’s School Visit with Freddie Hadley

Robert Hardman, who previously discussed Prince William’s future king status, has now written a book about his father titled ‘The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy’. Meanwhile, in October, Princes William visited St Michael’s Church of England High School following an invitation from student Freddie Hadley for their school event commemorating World Mental Health Day. Prince Charles admitted during the surprise appearance that Freddy wrote an ‘extremely well-written letter’, which prompted him to fulfill his promise and attend. Kate Middleton was also mentioned, with William revealing she would have loved to accompany him but couldn’t due to health reasons. During his visit, he spoke about mental health challenges affecting himself personally while making jokes that delighted the students present at the event. Freddie admitted feeling nervous initially when meeting Prince Charles since they first connected via a letter wherein the young man expressed himself as being representative of Matrix Project whose objective is combating negative beliefs associated with male psychology relating to this matter in boys aged 11-14 years old, who come together and brainstorm ways through which mental health challenges can be addressed. Freddie further revealed that Prince Charles was a ‘very nice guy’ during their interaction at the school event since he appeared comfortable while listening intently about Matrix Project’s activities as well as why they do what they do in this regard. The young man also mentioned how William shared his own experiences of dealing with mental health issues after working with several organizations centering on improving overall welfare levels, having observed through that platform just how profoundly significant the issue is currently for society at large.
