England defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is confident that his team can win the upcoming Euro 2024 tournament in Germany this summer. His focus now is on convincing England coach Gareth Southgate that he deserves a place in the squad, having missed out on Euro 2020 due to another knee injury, then not appearing until substitute duty at this year’s World Cup in Qatar where they ultimately reached the final but lost against Italy. Despite typically playing as a right-back for his club side Liverpool, Alexander-Arnold sees himself as an effective midfielder when representing England and feels he could partner Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid.
