Anti-Israel protests have taken over prestigious colleges in the United States and are becoming increasingly destructive and intimidating. In response to these demonstrations, Columbia University has canceled all in-person classes for the remainder of the semester due to concerns about student safety on campus. This decision is indicative of how far this anti-Semitic behavior has spread within our most esteemed academic institutions.
At its core, unmasked antisemitism fuels these protests, and it’s alarming that such evil emanates from the very places we expect to foster intellectual curiosity and critical thinking. However, during a lengthy interview with Howard Stern on Friday, Joe Biden chose not to address this pressing issue despite being asked about it. Instead, he opted for discussing January 6th when protests disrupted Capitol Hill’s legislative activities, allegedly causing injury and fatality among law enforcement officers.
Stern even suggested that former President Donald Trump should be barred from running in future elections due to his involvement with the events of January 6th. Biden concurred, describing these actions as “almost criminal” while accusing Trump of dereliction for failing to intervene during the protest’s peak moments. He further suggested that all individuals who took part would be granted a pardon should Donald win again in subsequent elections.
However, there are significant discrepancies with Biden’s narrative regarding this particular case since police officers allegedly harmed during the incident didn’t succumb to injuries sustained on January 6th as he claimed. In fact, an autopsy revealed that Brian Sicknick died from natural causes after suffering two strokes a day following these events.
The Democrat Party’s politicization of this tragedy is evident in how they have utilized it for political gains instead of recognizing its severity or taking corrective action against those involved in perpetuating falsehoods around Sicknick’s demise, which Joe Biden himself did during the interview with Howard Stern.
Moreover, while these discussions about January 6th continue to dominate headlines and social media feeds, ongoing anti-Semitic protests on college campuses are being ignored for political expediency. The fact that this is happening at all is disconcerting because antisemitism has become a leftist ideological belief system in recent times.
The most vocal proponents of these beliefs include Ivy League universities, prominent politicians like “the Squad,” popular musicians and BLM activists who share common political goals with the Democrat Party. This anti-Semitic fervor pervading elite educational establishments represents an unwelcome threat to American democracy’s fundamental values that should not be ignored or overlooked by anyone seeking justice, equality, and freedom for all citizens irrespective of their religious beliefs.
Howard Stern may have some cognitive deficiencies, but he is far from being stupid; instead, his zealotry has blinded him to the reality surrounding these protests on college campuses, which represent a growing trend that must be addressed with utmost urgency and diligence by our leaders. It’s unfortunate that such politically-motivated distractions continue to divert attention from more pressing issues like anti-Semitism, leaving them unchecked and escalating further without proper intervention or resolution efforts on an organizational scale through all responsible societal spheres with common will as essential participants who want social change towards peaceful coexistence between all human communities globally.
