Diddy Challenges Sexual Assault, Revenge Porn Claims in NY Court; Lawyer Criticizes ‘Military-Level Force’ Search Warrants over Alleged Trafficking Investigation

Rewritten Article:

Lawyers representing music mogul and rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs have petitioned a New York court to dismiss certain claims in a civil lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault and dissemination of intimate images without consent. Joi Dickerson-Neal, who appeared alongside Diddy in a video for his label Bad Boy Records during her college years in 1991, filed the case last year alleging she was drugged by Combs and sexually violated as a result. The lawsuit also alleged that he filmed the assault and shared it with others three days afterward according to statements from another person at around that timeframe when a friend divulged seeing such video. In response, Diddy’s representatives branded her claims “made up” and not credible while describing them as an attempt to extort money. The attorneys for Combs have now filed a motion with the State of New York courts requesting that certain allegations be struck from the case since they contend such provisions did not exist during the supposed offense time in 1991, and argued against charges levelled at Bad Boy Records because it didn’t operate under its current name back then. Diddy has been named as a defendant on six separate occasions regarding allegations of sexual misconduct since November with one instance having been resolved by settlement terms already reached between the parties involved. The musician maintains his innocence in all instances. Last month, federal agents executed search warrants at properties owned by Combs that were part of an ongoing investigation into alleged sex trafficking activities according to a law enforcement source cited by CNN. Diddy’s lawyer Aaron Dyer has described these actions as “a gross overuse of military-level force”. A spokesperson for the singer declined further comment when contacted by CNN at this time.
