Maher Slams Pro-Palestine Protestors for “Posturing” with Unfavorable Image: 34,000 Dead in Gaza Conflict as Hamas Holds Captives

Renowned talk show host Bill Maher lambasted individuals supporting Palestine in protests around the world for engaging in “posturing for a cause” that appears to be failing in converting new supporters due to its unfavorable image. In his Friday episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, he criticized protesters who block highways near airports as part of their demonstrations in cities such as New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Seattle among others. “Someone needs to tell the people who obstruct traffic for a cause that no one likes you,” said Maher. He further added: “Most normies think this way; they are already convinced that there must be inequities all around in every part of our planet.”
Maher pointed out how many protesters remained ignorant about Palestine’s situation until Hamas launched an invasion into southern Israel on October 7, prompting Israeli retaliation with missile strikes against Gaza. He compared the demonstrators to former US President Donald Trump due to their excessive self-promotion for a cause they allegedly care deeply about while being unaware of its underlying realities.
As per data provided by Palestine’s local health ministry, around 34,000 individuals have lost their lives during the conflict in Gaza so far. The figures do not distinguish between combatants and non-combatants but suggest that two-thirds of those who died were women and children. Hamas has been holding some 134 civilians it captured over six months ago captive as well, with a temporary ceasefire arranged last November by Israel and Hamas being abruptly ended early when the latter resumed missile attacks against Israel during an agreed-upon pause in hostilities that saw more than one hundred prisoners exchanged on each side.
