Fox News’ Greg Palkot on the U.S. House passing the latest foreign aid bill; two Russian soldiers accused of going on a drunken killing spree in an occupied part of Ukraine have been arrested by authorities. According to reports, Alexander Kaygorodtsev and Alexander Osipov admitted to murdering at least five people while serving as members of Russia’s 144th Guards Motor Rifle Division. The pair allegedly killed residents and burned their houses if they refused alcohol during the spree in Abrikosovka, Kherson region. Victims included other Russian servicemen, making investigators question their motives further. Kaygorodtzev has previously been convicted of murder and drug trafficking charges with a suspended sentence on top; should he be found guilty again, it could result in life imprisonment for him this time around. The ongoing violence against Ukrainian civilians continues to intensify in the occupied territories, including alleged attacks on queer individuals, following similar claims reported between March-September 2023 by human rights NGO watchdog Projector – partnered with OutRight International. In February, a possibly executed corpse of Father Stepan was found in Kalanchak’s streets after being detained and allegedly tortured to death by Russian forces two days prior. The local bishop claimed that the troops were responsible for his brutal demise.
