New York City union members are switching their political support towards former President Trump as they voice concerns regarding Joe Biden’s policies on energy, immigration and the economy. Steamfitters Union apprentice Jason Murray discussed this shift during an appearance on ‘Jesse Watters Primetime’. He cited instances such as Biden laying off 10,000 workers from their union immediately after taking office in January, which left many of his fellow brothers jobless. Additionally, members are disgruntled with surging consumer prices under the new administration and how New York Governor Kathy Hochul was trying to award construction work meant for Union-approved companies instead to noncitizens residing illegally within America’s borders. Trump received a warm welcome from hundreds of union workers while on visit to another city’s job site that very day as their leaders complained in numerous interviews about the lack of communication they have had with Biden and his team, unlike what was afforded them by both President Donald J. Trump and Robert F Kennedy Jr., who were also invited for meetings earlier this year when contemplating runs against Mr Biden from a Democrat’s point of view or as an Independent candidate respectively. The Steamfitters Local 638 manager Bob Bartels noted in one such interview that workers are frustrated due to living week-to-week, failing to afford their bills and require changes be made by the administration since they believe things need to change urgently now!
