Rapper Afroman, who received Grammy nominations for his hit song “Because I Got High,” recently released a new track called “Hunter Got High.” The video mocks Hunter Biden and pokes fun at various controversies surrounding the president’s son. In the opening scene, Afroman and an actor portraying Hunter smoke in the back of a black SUV while joking about fixing his laptop with drugs instead of technology. The song takes aim at allegations of influence peddling by the Biden family as well as reports that cocaine was found in the White House last year. It also touches on concerns raised by Republican lawmakers regarding Hunter’s art career and potential conflicts of interest between wealthy buyers and the White House. Afroman sarcastically comments, “Biden never used to start with B-U-Y till Hunter got high.” The video continues to mock Biden family ties in foreign policy matters as well. Matthew Azrieli’s record company, Baste Records, produced the track, positioning itself as a defender of freedom of speech and thought against what it describes as mainstream music industry censorship.
