Central US Braces for More Severe Weather as Tornadoes Continue Wreaking Havoc

Another day of intense weather is forecasted for central America on Sunday as regions still recover from a series of destructive tornadoes that hit parts of the area since Friday. This deadly outbreak caused significant damage in Oklahoma last night, following another devastating storm in Nebraska and Iowa on Friday. As showers and thunderstorms slowly move eastward across sections of Plains, Midwest, and South this morning, most have remained below severe limits so far today. However, the slow-moving nature of these systems has prompted Flash Flood Warnings to be issued in North Texas, eastern Kansas, and western Missouri.

The FOX Forecast Center predicts that fierce thunderstorms will resume during late afternoon and evening from East Texas through northwestern Louisiana into southwest Missouri today. Damaging winds and a few tornadoes are expected along the stronger parts of this line of storms with possible strong twisters emerging in areas like southern Arkansas, heading to eastwardly-expanding risks reaching central sections of east Texas.

A more isolated severe weather threat is also anticipated further north over lower and mid Missouri valley regions today where hailstones larger than baseball balls might drop during such intense events which will bring heavy precipitation. As it stands currently, nearly 51 million individuals have been identified in the zone that’s prone to these violent storms on Sunday alone.
