Mary Jo Eustace Slams Tori Spelling for Low Divorce Announcement Call to Ex-Husband Dean McDermott

Dean McDermott’s former wife Mary Jo Eustace had some harsh words for Tori Spelling. In an interview with Page Six on Thursday, Eustace criticized Spelling for calling her estranged husband during a podcast to announce their divorce. “Desperate much? It’s just low, low, low,” she said. During the debut episode of Spelling’s new podcast on April 1, she revealed that she had filed for divorce and spoke with McDermott over the phone while recording it. While only Spelling’s side of the conversation could be heard in the episode, her call appeared to discuss why Spelling was filing for divorce at this time. Eustace also called out Spelling’s alleged interest in joining “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” She said that despite previous good terms with McDermott, she didn’t know much about his new girlfriend Lily Calo other than her name. On the second episode of Spelling’s podcast on April 8, Spelling spoke about their current co-parenting situation and mentioned Calo positively, saying “We do now have family dinners with Dean and his girlfriend. I like her a lot.” In contrast to Eustace’s opinions regarding this issue, the reality TV personality said that she hopes for an amicable divorce from McDermott while co-parenting effectively for their children. They are scheduled to formally appear in court next week (as reported by People magazine on April 7) when it may become clearer what lies ahead following Spelling’s petition to terminate the former couple’s spousal support agreement, which McDermott opposed last month (April).
