Lori Loughlin is approaching life with resilience after her involvement in the college admissions scandal, according to a recent interview she gave for First For Women’s cover story. Although not directly addressing the infamous case, the former “Full House” star spoke about forgiveness and perseverance, sharing that “every day we’re met with different obstacles but…for me it’s like that song says ‘I get knocked down but I get up again’” she continued, “[we] all make mistakes [and the important thing is to] persevere”. Loughlin served two months in jail and paid a $150,000 fine for attempting to secure a place at USC for her daughters via bribes. Her husband received five months in prison as part of their guilty pleas last year. The actress has faced intense backlash since the scandal but is gradually returning to work with recent appearances on TV shows and movies including “A Christmas Blessing” and an episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm”. Loughlin also spoke about dealing with negative people, saying that she tries to be kind as a first response rather than going toe-to-toe. She further discussed her faith, sharing that she feels like there’s higher power guiding them through the difficult times such as angels watching over their side. Reflecting on where she’s at in life today, Loughlin described herself as “kind and I’m strong…open to experiences” while adding that she is grateful for everything around her.
