Tank Dell Released from Hospital After Florida Shooting, Texans Star Survives Non-Life Threatening Injury at Private Venue Restricted to Over 18’s

The Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell has been discharged from hospital after sustaining minor injuries in a mass shooting at Cabana Live, a private event venue in Florida on Sunday. According to reports, the suspect, 16-year-old Christopher Bouie Jr., was able to shoot ten people at the poolside restaurant past midnight despite it being restricted for those under the age of eighteen after sunset. Fortunately, all victims survived with non-life threatening injuries.

The Texans issued a statement confirming Dell’s involvement in the incident: “We have been made aware that Tank Dell was a victim of a shooting at Cabana Live last night [Sunday]. He sustained a minor wound but has since been released from hospital and is doing well. We are currently communicating with him and his family, however we kindly request privacy for the time being as our thoughts and prayers remain focused on those involved in this unfortunate event.”

The Washington Examiner contacted Cabana Live regarding any potential comments about the incident. Meanwhile, a police officer was able to apprehend Bouie who is currently detained at a juvenile detention centre pending further investigations. The victims have reportedly expressed their intentions of pressing charges against him in line with Florida’s 10-20-Life legislation that imposes harsher penalties for the use or brandishing of firearms during crimes resulting in injury, regardless of whether the gun is fired.

Prior to sustaining injuries at Cabana Live, Dell was an outstanding performer, finishing his rookie season with 73 catches, accumulating a total yardage tallying up to 1096 yards and scoring eleven touchdowns as he played a crucial role in the Texans’ successful campaign that resulted in them securing their division title for the first time since 2019. The team ended with an impressive record of 11 wins against eight losses during this period.
