Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. – A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after allegedly robbing and carjacking a man in Rancho Cucamonga, police confirmed. The incident occurred last Saturday evening at approximately 11:10 pm in the vicinity of Foothill Boulevard.
As per reports from law enforcement agencies, the suspect drove away with the victim’s black Nissan Maxima on Foothill Boulevard and headed onto Highway 210. The teen was later involved in a traffic collision near the intersection of the San Bernardino Freeway (Interstate-60) around half past midnight on Sunday morning.
After sustaining minor injuries from the car accident, the perpetrator fled the scene but was soon apprehended by authorities following a brief pursuit that led them to Duarte’s Flower and Business Center neighborhood shortly thereafter. The suspect is currently being held at San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall pending further legal proceedings.
At this time, no additional details have been disclosed regarding the incident or any potential charges against the accused individual.
