Anti-Semitic Protests Spark Call for Jewish Students’ Safety at US Colleges as International Court Eyes Netanyahu

As anti-Israel protests continue to spread across college campuses in the US, a Harvard student has called on Jewish students to avoid campus due to an influx of antisemitic agitators. Kestenbaum claims that Harvard has “acquiesced” and given into the demands of a “woke mob”. He said these individuals have expressed anti-democratic, anti-American, anti-capitalist and antisemitic views, with some calling for genocide against Jews during Passover. Kestenbaum claims Harvard is fundamentally treating Jews differently following incidents on campus, while protesters also appear to threat violence if graduates hear anything they disagree with at their commencement ceremony next month. In response, a group of 21 Democratic Congressmen have called for Columbia University to protect its Jewish students and disband the encampment of anti-Israel activists after similar incidents occurred there last week.

Elsewhere, Israeli officials are growing increasingly concerned that international criminal court could issue arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over charges related to Israel’s response to Hamas attacks in Gaza. Meanwhile, Jewish students at various campuses including Yale University and USC have also expressed concern about the implications of their involvement in anti-Israel protests on campus for future employment prospects and graduation ceremonies as a result of suspensions or legal records following arrests during demonstrations.

In response to these incidents, George Washington University has reiterated that protesters violating its rules are jeopardising the safety of students on campuses nationwide by exhibiting highly offensive language and endangering academic priorities for university communities. The Biden administration remains silent over whether student loan forgiveness programs will bar those involved in anti-Israel protests from receiving financial aid, while protesters at Columbia University have demanded amnesty to avoid consequences following their involvement in demonstrations that are now spiralling out of control on campuses nationwide due to terror group Hamas launching a war against Israel.
