Biden’s Century Slip-Up and Navarrete’s Prison Sentence for Child Sexual Abuse

President Joe Biden appeared to mix up centuries during a speech to voters in Arizona, while former Arizona state lawmaker Otoniel “Tony” Navarrete was sentenced to a year in prison for sexual misconduct with a minor. A jury found Navarrete guilty of one count of sexual misconduct with a child and he must also register as a sex offender. The ex-Democrat, who resigned from his role over allegations of sexual misconduct last year, was arrested after claims emerged that he had inappropriately touched a boy aged 12 or 13 between several years until the victim turned 15. Navarrete served as both state representative and senator for Arizona’s 30th District following his election to office in 2016, serving one term before being promoted. He resigned last year over allegations of sexual misconduct, replaced by Raquel Terán who took up the seat previously held by Navarrete as a state representative.
