Dallas authorities apprehended Christopher Jones, 28, over the weekend and charged him with deadly conduct and drug possession following a South Dallas mass shooting that resulted in one fatality and left eight others injured. The incident occurred on Collins Avenue at around 11:10 p.m. On April 14 when a large party spilled out onto the street. Police investigators reported that after an individual opened fire into the crowd, multiple individuals started firing shots themselves. Jones was accused of discharging his weapon in mid-air during the night’s events by Dallas police officials who also asserted that gang involvement might have been present. Earlier on April 14, authorities received a call about gunfire at the location but were unable to find any evidence upon arrival. Seven women and two men sustained injuries from the shooting; one of them being Coriesha Bradford (21) whose passing was confirmed by Dallas police officials. Jones is also facing charges in Tarrant County for taking part in an organized criminal organization according to available court documents.
