Eva Marie’s Unexpected PETA-Inspired Embrace of Hunting for Nutritional Value and Appreciation

Former WWE star Natalie Eva Marie has thanked animal rights organization PETA for inspiring her to take up hunting. The wrestler, known as Eva Marie in the ring, appeared on the cover of Hook & Barrel Magazine and explained that while she grew up playing team sports, it wasn’t until she watched a documentary by PETA about factory farming that she became interested in harvesting her own meat. “Shout out to PETA because you guys made me a hunter,” Eva Marie said during the interview. “Thank you very much. Because they did all the hard work by showcasing factory farming.” Her husband’s passion for nutrition and health also played a role, as she explained that wild game meat provides better nutritional value than store-bought options. She added: “Hunting makes you appreciate food a lot more” because it helps individuals understand where their meals come from. Eva Marie went on to say that hunting is something humans are meant to do and revealed her trips out into nature yield little waste due to the careful conservation methods she employs while tracking prey. The wrestler suggested others should try hunting at least once as an eye-opening experience for them “from understanding what goes into it, the love, the appreciation”. She admitted that although she believes everybody would benefit from experiencing this type of hunt at some point in their lives because they can see all aspects involved with taking down prey.
