Lakers Stay Alive with Hard-Fought Win Against Struggling Nuggets

DENVER – The Los Angeles Lakers managed to keep their playoff aspirations alive on Saturday night, preventing a sweep at the hands of the Denver Nuggets in their first-round NBA postseason series. However, they still trail 3-1 and will have to win Game 5 at home tomorrow evening to maintain any realistic chances of advancing further in the tournament.
In an impressive display, Anthony Davis and LeBron James both scored 25 and 30 points respectively for their team. D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves also contributed with a combined total of 42 points between them. The Lakers’ victory was hard-earned as the Nuggets struggled to find their shooting rhythm, recording an overall field goal percentage of just 44.8%.
Following Game 4, Darvin Ham – head coach for Los Angeles – highlighted how a collaborative approach has been instrumental in achieving victories against Denver, “Our competitiveness never wavered and neither did our team spirit,” he said. “We’ve got to maintain that same mindset when we go up to play the Nuggets again.”
