Nightclub Shooting Leaves Ten Injured, Including NFL Player Tank Dell

A shooting at a nightclub in Sanford, Florida left 10 people with non-life-threatening injuries, including Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell who sustained minor wounds. The incident took place during the Cabana Live Event held last night, as per authorities from Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. At around midnight on Sunday, deputies patrolling nearby heard multiple gunshots coming from behind the venue and found that a fist fight had ensued inside before an unidentified 16-year-old boy pulled out a handgun and began shooting at a crowd of people. The suspect was tackled by a security guard who disarmed him, but due to his juvenile age, officials were required to take permission from the shooter’s mother for questioning before he could be taken into custody. Authorities found that the firearm used in this incident was a 9mm handgun and shell cases matching its magazine at the scene of crime. The victims have been discharged after receiving medical attention, with some expressing their intention to prosecute. In response, Cabana Live issued an official statement on Facebook requesting prayers for those affected by the violence while confirming that there was no danger to patrons inside the venue during this isolated incident. Tank Dell’s team also released a statement assuring everyone of his well-being and asking them to respect his privacy at present. The 16-year-old suspect has been arrested on charges including attempted homicide, discharging firearms in public areas, brandishing guns while committing offences and being found guilty with carrying arms as minors.
