“FOX 4’s Ali Turiano examines an upcoming week filled with precipitation and potential severe storms in North Texas. The region did not witness any tornadoes during Saturday night into Sunday morning; however, ample rain was present as much of the area saw more than two inches of waterfall within a twenty-four hour span. Roadways were flooded across the area on Sunday morning due to heavy precipitation levels. DFW Airport reported an official total of 2.25 inches of rain on Sunday. The record for April 28 at this location is 2.86 inches, set back in 1953; nevertheless, we missed breaking a second straight weekend’s wetness mark as last Saturday yielded more than two and thirty-six tenths inches falling within an eightehour stretch—becoming another record for April 20.”
