A 41-year-old man has lost his life as a result of an attack by one of his pit bulls at their shared residence situated within New York City’s Bronx district, law enforcement authorities reported on Friday morning after they responded to the Simpson Street apartment building in Longwood. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the victim was lying motionless with the dog inflicting fatal wounds around his neck, leading them to dispatch several rounds and end the animal’s life immediately afterwards. The deceased individual has been identified as the owner of this lethal pet and transported to St Barnabas Hospital for treatment but ultimately succumbed to injuries sustained during the attack. Two police officers who were present at the scene have also sought medical attention due to ringing in their ears, though no further details regarding these individuals’ conditions are currently available.
