Both candidates are reportedly open to sharing a debate stage in upcoming elections as per recent reports by real estate brokerage Redfin. The survey conducted by Qualtrics in Feb 2024 interviewed nearly 3,000 U.S homeowners and renters regarding their preferences for living locations based on political beliefs.
According to the report, around one-fifth of Trump voters who plan to vote for him in the upcoming election want to reside in places where abortion is legal. This contrasts with Biden supporters as almost sixty percent desired similar freedom pertaining to pregnancy rights during questioning from the company. However, most proponents (64%) supporting Trump expressed disapproval regarding stringent gun control laws and half of them opposed recreational marijuana’s use becoming widely acceptable.
In stark contrast to Trump voters was the inclination seen among Biden supporters as over two-thirds did not want any restrictions on firearms, while more than fifty percent favored legalizing cannabis for leisurely purposes in their vicinity. A sizable majority of around three quarters of those backing Joe Biden expressed a desire to live somewhere where gender affirming care is provided to minors, with an interest equally spread between having diverse populations and discussions related to the LGBTQ community being taught at schools.
