PROSPER, Texas – A 48-year-old man from Collin County has been charged in relation to child pornography following a thorough investigation by the local police department. The suspect, Miles Todd Perez, was arrested on Monday and authorities discovered hundreds of indecent images and videos featuring minors stored across his electronic devices. Prosper Police Department revealed that this operation forms part of their ongoing collaboration with the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in a bid to combat cyber-enabled crimes against children.
In another instance, prosecutors reported last week that Rodney Williams from Waxahachie was sentenced after being accused by his own daughter, who is now 21 years old, of sexually abusing her since she was just nine years old in their home between the years 2012 and 2015. The victim testified against him during the trial.
Authorities are urging anyone with further information relating to child abuse crimes or other such incidents involving children to get in touch immediately with Prosper PD as they continue investigations into these offences.
