Columbia University’s ‘Hind’s Hall’: Anti-Israel Protesters Take Action Against Divestment Policy

Tom Lahren from OutKick responds to anti-Israel protesters vandalizing property at Columbia University, as a massive mob broke into an academic building and renamed it “Hind’s Hall” after Hind Rajab, a 6-year-old who died during Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza. The group reclaiming Hamilton Hall, which is used by the dean, confirmed their action through a statement posted on X, citing precedence from past student movements against Columbia University’s policy of not following “baseline standards of conduct that make negotiation possible.” They added: “Resistance is justified in the movement for liberation. Liberators acting in solidarity with Palestine continue to hold themselves to a higher standard than Columbia,” further justifying their action by blaming it on university’s contribution towards genocide and refusal of divestment policy. The protesters also smashed windows, unfurled Palestinian flags over them, chanted slogans like “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” and formed a human barricade by linking arms outside Hamilton Hall, vowing not to budge until Columbia University meets their three demands. Trump has weighed in against these anti-Israel protests as well with an all caps post saying, “Stop the protests now!!!”.
