Deadly Shooting at U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Operation in Charlotte Leaves Three Officers Killed, Four Injured

In Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday afternoon, a fatal incident unfolded as officers from a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force attempted to serve a warrant for firearm possession by a convicted felon. During this operation, the suspect opened fire and killed three task force officers, one of whom was a deputy sheriff, while injuring four Charlotte police officers, including one who sustained critical injuries, as well as another U.S. Marshals task force officer.
