DFW Airport to Gainesville: Motorcade of 550 Law Enforcement Vehicles Escorts Medal of Honor Recipients with Traffic Delays on Major Highways

Medal of Honor laureates will embark on a unique journey later this afternoon as they travel from DFW Airport to Gainesville. The event is scheduled to commence around 3:45 PM and promises to feature an impressive convoy that will comprise police cars and emergency vehicles sourced from the region’s various departments. As per projections, approximately five hundred fifty law enforcement vehicles are anticipated for this parade which could stretch up to eight or nine miles in length. The motorcade is expected to result in significant traffic delays as certain sections of highways 183, 360, 114 and 121 will be temporarily closed alongside some access points on Interstates 35W and I-35E. Every year, Gainesville takes great pleasure hosting Medal of Honor laureates; this occasion represents the program’s twenty third edition.
