Elite Universities Overrun by Radical Pro-Hamas Activism and Taxpayer Funding Abuse

Starting from Columbia University and spreading across elite institutions, pro-Hamas activists have taken over campuses by erecting tent cities and disrupting regular university operations. These individuals go beyond exercising their First Amendment rights as they target Jewish students with threats of violence, organize human chains to push “Zionists” out of public spaces, and even stabbed a student in the eye with a Palestinian flag, resulting in hospitalization.

These are not peaceful protesters but spoiled and entitled children cosplaying revolutionaries while expecting taxpayers to cover their expenses. Universities that facilitate this behavior through excessive funding from taxes also contribute to these students’ irresponsible actions. The average college student spends less than three hours a day attending classes or studying, leading them towards revolutionary causes such as destroying Israel and America.

The Biden administration proposes almost $1 trillion in “debt forgiveness” for student loans that will cost approximately $3000 per person in the country. This proposal would relieve students of repaying their debts acquired to pay tuition, instead making hardworking taxpayers bear the costs. Students who do not experience consequences from loan obligations may behave irresponsibly because others are covering them.

The same holds true for universities; they receive more than $500 million in annual subsidies due to federal research grants’ overhead expenses. Columbia University, with an endowment of over $14 billion, receives this funding despite already having enough resources to cover their building costs. This is on top of the inflated tuition fees that students can afford because they have access to government-subsidized loans which may be forgiven in future.

The current state of higher education is a house of cards built upon taxpayer money, and if funding were reduced even slightly, universities would collapse as we know them today. The public purpose for this expenditure should focus on transmitting skills and culture to the next generation so they can become productive citizens. Universities must remember that their livelihoods depend on hard-working Americans’ earnings, and it is imperative that they serve a valuable function in society if they wish to continue receiving taxpayer money.

If some students have personal issues, such as daddy problems, they should address them with the help of therapists at their own expense instead of destroying higher education institutions through destructive behavior.
