Expo Park Bus-Train Collision Leaves Multiple Injured, Metro E Line Service Disrupted

Multiple individuals sustained injuries following an accident involving a Metro E Line train and a bus in the vicinity of Exposition Park. The collision took place around noon on Tuesday at approximately 900 West Exposition Boulevard near the Expo Park/USC Station, as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).

According to an LAFD statement, numerous train passengers are experiencing minor injuries after the incident. Emergency responders have been attending to all patients and arranging medical care and transportation accordingly. The bus involved in this mishap was carrying 22 occupants out of whom twelve individuals sustained mild wounds. It is still unclear whether any victims required hospitalization following the accident.

The specific cause behind the crash has not yet been identified, but it appears that the bus did not belong to Metro’s transit system; instead, some sort of shuttle was involved in this incident. The train service between Expo/Vermont and Jefferson/USC is currently discontinued as a result of the collision.

To facilitate alternative travel arrangements for affected rail passengers, Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) has organized bus services. Furthermore, due to the crash, part of Exposition Boulevard has been blocked off; local authorities have requested that people avoid this area until further notice. This story is still developing and FOX 11 will continue updating their audience with fresh details as they emerge.
