McKinney Police Investigate Fatal Robbery-Turned-Shooting in White Avenue Neighborhood

McKinney authorities have revealed that a 23-year-old man was fatally shot inside his car in a residential area off White Avenue, following an alleged robbery incident on Sunday afternoon. The police refused to provide further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the crime but confirmed that Donte Tyrone Murry Jr., aged 24, is accused of pulling the trigger and fleeing to Antwon Hamilton’s residence, where his accomplice, a 33-year-old man named Hamilton, allegedly assisted in planning and executing the heist. Both suspects have been apprehended by SWAT officers at their respective residences after witnesses reported seeing them walking on the street just before the shooting was heard around 2 p.m., as captured via a Ring doorbell camera footage obtained from one of the neighbors’ homes. The victim, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, had remained parked in his white sedan for roughly half an hour prior to the incident according to eyewitness Shakilia Black who witnessed the shootout that ensued shortly afterwards and subsequently prompted other residents like Travis Fenimore out of their houses to investigate.
