DALLAS – The remains of slain police officer Kyle Hicks, originally from North Texas, arrived back in the area on Thursday to donate his organs. After being shot while responding to a domestic disturbance earlier this week, departments across North Texas paid their respects as they escorted Hick’s body from Dallas Love Field to Southwest Transplant Alliance for organ donation.
Hicks joined the Corpus Christi Police Department two years ago and at one time was based in Tarrant County, having studied at its College Campus (TCC) in 2010. Arlington is also his former home. He leaves behind a wife and four children.
