In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, a woman from LA accused Hollywood star Sharon Stone of causing a car accident last summer. The legal action seeks unlimited civil damages exceeding $35,000 due to the alleged incident that occurred on July 30, 2023.
According to court documents, at around that time and place in Studio City’s southern neighborhood close by LA freeway- Coldwater Canyon Avenue exit ramps leading into it from southbound directions – Stone was operating her vehicle while allegedly violating a number of California Vehicle Code provisions related to speeding, unsafe lane changes as well as making an improper left turn move on topo uninvited or forced terrain during day or night shifts respectively due insufficient lighting conditions.
The plaintiff claimed that she sustained personal injuries and property damage after Stone’s car hit hers at the spot mentioned above in July last year, further asserting emotional distress, economic damages as well as non-economic losses resulting from this incident. The lawsuit specifically blames Stone for driving too fast for traffic conditions on Coldwater Canyon Avenue while attempting to turn into her lane of travel that resulted in a collision between their cars – which she believes amounts to an unsafe turning movement and left-lane change infringement, as well.
The case against the “Basic Instinct” actress is scheduled for hearing next October.
