Victoria & Albert’s at Disney World Earns First MICHELIN Star for Exceptional Cuisine

Renewed acclamations are merited for a distinguished Disney restaurant as Walt Disney World Resort announced on Thursday that Victoria & Albert’s has been awarded a MICHELIN Star due to its exceptional culinary skills. This prestigious recognition marks the first time such an accolade is bestowed upon any eatery within the resort. The fine-dining establishment, situated at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, is under the stewardship of celebrated Chef Matthew Sowers who received guidance from renowned chef Scott Hunne, a James Beard “Best Chef in the South” nominee. Moreover, Maître d’Hôtel Israel Pérez has been lauded for securing Florida Service Award for 2024. The MICHELIN Guide added nineteen new restaurants to its list this February, including five situated within Orlando’s vicinity. These establishments are evaluated by anonymous inspectors who have prior experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry based on five criteria: quality of products, mastery over flavor and cooking techniques, chef’s personality manifested through dining experiences, harmony between flavours, and consistency during repeated visits.
