In addition to the charges against Ippei Mizuhara for embezzling millions from Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani to pay off gambling debts, it has been revealed that Mizuhara’s former associate Ryan Boyajian, who is also the fiancé of Jennifer Pedranti and a cast member on “Real Housewives of Orange County,” may be implicated in the case. ESPN reported that Boyajian was identified as Mizuhara’s bookmaker’s associated to whom he wired money to settle his debts. Multiple sources told ESPN that Boyajian received immunity in exchange for his testimony, although his legal representative stated that Boyajian couldn’t confirm or deny any involvement due to the ongoing investigation. The accusation follows Mizuhara’s decision to plead guilty to one count of bank fraud and another count of filing a false tax return, which could result in up to 33 years in federal prison. Mizuhara is scheduled to enter his guilty plea during an arraignment next week.
