In Brooklyn yesterday, a 69-year-old cyclist is currently in critical condition following a tragic incident involving a school bus. At approximately 1:30 PM on 21st Avenue near 83rd Street in Bensonhurst, the unfortunate biker collided with an unoccupied parked car’s open door. Consequently, the rider was hurled off their bike and subsequently struck by the passing school bus. Emergency services arrived promptly and transported the victim to the nearby hospital, where it was discovered that they had sustained injuries to their left shoulder and right hand. Thankfully, the bus driver stayed at the scene, and law enforcement officials confirmed that no students were aboard the vehicle during the occurrence. The authorities are still investigating the matter, and no arrests have been made yet.
