According to Yemen’s leader of the Ansarullah movement, Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, if the United States chooses to put an end to the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, then such action will be immediately implemented. This statement comes amidst the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Hamas militant group, which has resulted in the deaths of over 34,000 Palestinians since October 2021. The Houthis, who claim responsibility for recent attacks on shipping in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, have stated that these actions are intended to put pressure on Israel to halt the violence in Gaza. The situation remains tense, and efforts are being made by international parties, including U.S. Envoy Antony Blinken, to facilitate a ceasefire and address the underlying issues driving the conflict.
