Al-Houthi Criticizes Egyptian Objection to Israeli Advance in Rafah, Urges More Action Against Occupation

In Yemen, the leader of the Ansarullah movement, Mr. Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, has stated that Egypt’s written objection regarding the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt is insufficient, as the Israeli enemy will not take notice of it. This comment was made during a speech delivered in Arabic. Al-Houthi emphasized that the Israeli occupation’s advancement into certain areas of Rafah will not result in any military gains due to the fact that this is a civilian region rather than a combat zone for the militants. Furthermore, he asserted that the enemy’s progress in these locations would not lead to any significant military accomplishments. Al-Houthi urged Egypt to play a more active role in exerting pressure on Israel to withdraw from the Rafah crossing, given its position at the vanguard of Arab action in this regard. However, Al-Houthi also criticized the dissemination of details regarding the situation in Rafah, stating that such information is not particularly effective and that the United States does not pay attention to it either. Al-Houthi maintained that the ongoing operation in Rafah poses a threat to the security and stability of Egypt and breaches previous accords that have been reached. He also asserted that Israel’s aggression against Rafah is primarily intended to intensify the suffering of the Palestinian population and to impose an additional blockade and famine upon them. Al-Houthi claimed that the US administration granted Israel authorization to enter the Rafah crossing, while also acknowledging that the United States is applying pressure on the Israeli enemy concerning Rafah and providing it with a substantial cache of weapons and ammunition. Finally, Al-Houthi stressed that Arabs and Muslims should not remain passive spectators in this scenario and should take concrete measures to support the Palestinian people.
