The CEO of Palantir, Alex Karp, has harshly criticized anti-Israel protesters on college campuses, referring to their beliefs as a “new form of pagan religion”. Karp, who considers himself a progressive, believes that liberal progressives must stand up for Western values in the face of these protesters. He likened the demonstrators’ fervent views to a form of religion that’s disconnected from Western political and social norms. Karp, whose company provides college fellowships to students affected by antisemitic demonstrations, accused protesters of misguided views when it comes to justice and anti-discrimination, claiming that their actions contradict their supposed positions. Karp further explained that the protests have gone too far and that everyone would be aghast if they were supporting mass people discriminating against a discriminated population. Karp emphasized that if one truly cares about people who are poor or downtrodden, they will fight for actual standards, actual justice, and actual concepts of merit, rather than allowing people to run rampant. Karp urged individuals to stand up for Western values, which he believes are the best values for the poor, weak, and downtrodden in the world, especially in America.
