Kelce Skeptical About Jumping into World of Self-Roasts

While the Roast of Tom Brady generated a lot of buzz, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce seems skeptical about participating in such events himself. In a recent interview on his New Heights podcast, Kelce expressed his confusion over the trend, stating, “I just don’t get the roasts. I don’t know why people do it. Maybe I take myself too seriously.” Kelce further explained that he finds the concept of roasting oneself or others as entertainment to be puzzling and questioned whether participants truly have thick enough skin to handle the jokes. He also mentioned that it’s almost inevitable for those close to the person being roasted to become involved in the proceedings. Despite being asked by several media outlets if he would participate in a future roast, Kelce has yet to confirm any plans in this regard. However, given his self-awareness regarding his own reaction to such events, it seems unlikely that Kelce will join the roasting circuit anytime soon.
