In a recent statement, NATO’s top official Jens Stoltenberg clarified that the alliance does not plan to actively participate in the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia. He also affirmed that NATO will not deploy its own troops to the region. This decision is in line with the organization’s longstanding policy of avoiding direct involvement in conflicts not involving its members. Instead, NATO has been providing military aid and support to Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression. However, Stoltenberg emphasized that NATO remains committed to supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and will continue to provide political and practical assistance to the country.
