Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) is actively working to help Democrats win majorities in both chambers of Congress during the upcoming elections. He has already campaigned in 17 states in support of President Joe Biden’s reelection bid and has been advocating for a Democratic majority in the House to combat the alleged “threat” posed by former President Donald Trump. Raskin, who represents a safe seat in Maryland’s blue suburbs, has also endorsed Angela Alsobrooks, the Prince George’s County executive, in her bid for the Senate seat vacated by Ben Cardin (D-MD). Additionally, Raskin has partnered with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee to provide funding for House Democrats’ ground games and has been volunteering his time to assist Democratic candidates in critical races across the country. Raskin, who serves as the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, has expressed interest in becoming its chairperson if Democrats regain control of the House. His efforts align with those of other prominent Democrats like Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-CA), who have also been working to strengthen their party’s position ahead of the elections. However, Raskin acknowledged that the outcome of the elections remains uncertain due to potential “mystery factors,” and Democrats must continue campaigning hard to secure victories.
