Alternative cryptocurrencies TON and Render Network’s RNDR have experienced significant gains in the past 24 hours due to positive news flows. TON, the native cryptocurrency of The Open Network, has risen 17.5% after reports emerged that the highly-anticipated launch of Notcoin’s native coin, NOT, is scheduled for May 16. Leading cryptocurrency exchanges such as Binance, Bybit, OKX, and Bitfinex have already announced their support for NOT. Additionally, RNDR has seen a 20% surge in value since Nasdaq-listed tech giant Apple briefly mentioned Render-powered 3D design software Octane. This follows Apple’s Vice President of Platform Architecture, Tim Millet, stating that “pro rendering apps like Octane will flat-out fly” during a recent four-minute keynote speech. Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency by market value, has also increased by 6% to $63,000, breaking through a downward trendline while the stock market aims for new record highs. However, some analysts remain cautious regarding potential caps on bitcoin’s upward trajectory, citing supply overhang from the distribution of coins to creditors of Gemini’s Earn program and defunct crypto marketplace Mt. Gox.
