Marlboro Township Public Schools in New Jersey shut down on Thursday after receiving bomb threats at both the Memorial Middle School and Board of Education buildings, as announced by the Marlboro Township Police Department via Facebook around 8 a.m. The police department stated that “threats were communicated to us” regarding these locations, prompting them along with other law enforcement agencies to conduct an extensive search inside both premises. Earlier in the day, the district had initially implemented a two-hour delay but subsequently decided on closure due to unspecified reasons related to this investigation. Additionally, town hall closed “due to a police investigation,” and it was uncertain when normal operations would resume at that location as well.
