Celebrating 10 Years of ‘Outnumbered’: Fox News Channel’s Pioneering Daytime Panel Show Breaks Ratings Records

“Outnumbered,” a groundbreaking Fox News Channel program featuring four female panelists and one lucky male guest, marks the milestone anniversary of ten years since its debut this week with celebratory episodes exploring some unforgettable moments from over the decade. The show’s launch coincided with controversy surrounding Donald Sterling’s prejudiced comments, and “Outnumbered” has consistently covered major news stories ever since through a distinctive format that highlights contrasting viewpoints.

In its first year on air, “Outnumbered” garnered over one million total viewers – an exceptional achievement for any midday cable program – but the show’s popularity has only grown with time; in 2024 alone, it recorded an impressive average of 1.7 million viewers each day, a figure that represents a significant increase by sixty-four percent compared to its initial year on air. This viewership outperforms several popular broadcast shows such as NBC’s “Today: Hoda & Jenna,” “NBC News Daily” and ABC’s “GMA: What U Need To Know,” in addition to CBS’ “The Talk.”

In terms of audience size, “Outnumbered” ranks seventh among all cable news programs currently on air. It consistently draws larger audiences than anything MSNBC or CNN has managed to offer for both total viewers and the much-coveted demographic comprising adults aged 25-54. Harris Faulkner, one of its original co-hosts since launch day, continues in this role alongside Emily Compagno and Kayleigh McEnany – fellow panellists who have joined throughout its successful history – all collaborating to deliver a unique blend of diverse perspectives on topical issues that makes for compelling television.

In addition to the anniversary celebrations, “Outnumbered” will also delve into behind-the scenes anecdotes concerning McEnany’s cohosting position; more details are anticipated as this week’s events unfold. The show has been a ratings hit since its inception and currently holds the number one spot among all basic cable programs during its time slot, surpassing both CNN and MSNBC combined at noon ET each day.
