Minnesota Twins’ “Lucky Sausage” Fuels Winning Streak and Superstition Debate

Baseball players are notoriously superstitious individuals, with some of them going to great lengths to maintain their lucky charms. After starting the season poorly at 6-11, Minnesota Twins infielder Kyle Farmer placed a packaged summer sausage in the team’s clubhouse and left it untouched in his locker. However, hitting coach David Popkins moved the mystery meat item to the dugout beside the bat rack. None of its current players fancied devouring the package as an appetite killer so Jeffers took on responsibility for tossing this “lucky sausage” at teammates after they scored significant hits during games. The Twins have since won seven consecutive matches, including sweeping series against both Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Angels, while also managing to amass more than five runs per match over that duration under new coach Rocco Baldelli’s tutelage. However, despite the success, Baldelli is concerned about its unopened status since it hasn’t been refrigerated for a long time and handling such an object would bring “very serious trouble” to human bodies because of this matter, albeit reluctantly so in his capacity as adult among juveniles who are less cautious. Nonetheless, the team’s recent form is enough reason to bear that risk with good faith!
