“General Hospital” actress Haley Pullos has been sentenced for suspected drunk driving following a wrong-way car crash in Pasadena last year that left another person seriously injured. The 23-year-old was arrested and remanded into custody at the Los Angeles County Jail on Monday, where she will spend 90 days before being placed under five years of probation and required to complete 200 hours of community service. Her driving license has also been suspended for a year following her plea deal that dropped two other charges against her – felony DUI causing bodily injury and misdemeanor hit-and-run, according to TMZ reports.
The crash occurred in May 2023 on the eastbound lanes of Highway 134 near Colorado Boulevard. California Highway Patrol (CHP) confirmed that Pullos was involved in a hit-and-run collision before driving her car onto the wrong side of Highway 134 at an intersection, towards other motorists’ paths. The Pasadena Fire Department revealed they used “jaws of life” equipment to extricate Pullos from her vehicle following the accident, which took place while she was heading eastbound on a westbound lane. She received medical treatment before being taken into custody by police officers. Another driver involved in the collision sustained severe injuries and had been hospitalized at that time.
Following this near-fatal car crash, Pullos temporarily stepped back from her role as character Molly Lansing-Davis on “General Hospital”, during which period, actress Haley Thompson West was brought in to fill the gap. In a statement released by Soap Opera Digest at that time, Pullos said: “Unfortunately, I was involved in an automobile accident and I’m doing okay but I am going to need some time to recover. I will be back as soon as possible!” She returned following her medical leave.
