Beal’s Bungle in the Big Three Blowout: Suns Swept by Timberwolves Despite Star Power

Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal experienced his first sweep in the playoffs during an impressively dismal feat, considering he played for 11 seasons with the Washington Wizards. Alongside Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, they failed to secure a single win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Before Game 4, Beal confidently declared that the Suns wouldn’t suffer an embarrassing sweep; however, he had to eat his words when it ultimately happened.

Despite this setback, credit should be given to Bradley Beal for providing a remarkable reaction upon realizing how wrong he was. “I’ll be damned,” said Beal as he braced himself against the media’s inquiries regarding Phoenix Suns’ disappointing season. The 30-year-old player who is slated to earn $50 million next year played an essential role in the team’s downfall, which was led by new owner Mat Ishbia and coach Frank Vogel.

The Suns opted for a costly roster consisting of Beal, Durant, and Booker instead of addressing their dire need for ample shot-creating point guards or defensive players. The team focused heavily on offense since one star’s performance dropped, leaving them defenseless. Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves to an 122-116 win in Game 4, resulting in a newfound respect for Minnesota after their impressive knockout of Phoenix’s ‘Big Three.’

In the final game, Beal scored only nine points while Devin Booker, who is considered as one of Phoenix’s most qualified stars this year, racked up an astounding 49 points. Kevin Durant also contributed with a score of 33 points in their all-or-nothing Game 4 matchup.

Following the Suns’ embarrassingly early exit from the playoffs, every job within that organization has come into question. Rumors have surfaced about Mat Ishbia running the team like a circus and Durant and Booker’s alleged interests in forcing their way out of Phoenix during the offseason. It is an unfortunate time to be Bradley Beal or anyone else involved with this team, as they are set for numerous additional probes ahead.
