Fox News host Sean Hannity discusses President Biden’s dwindling poll numbers as the economy continues to put pressure on him, and his attempts to avoid addressing protests from the left. According to a recent CNN poll, former president Donald Trump now leads Biden by six points nationwide, with an even larger lead when third-party candidates are included. The majority of voters disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy in the same survey, as well as CBS poll results showing that people believe they would be better off financially if Trump wins in November. A Harvard/Harris poll also indicates that 57% of Americans think Democrats are using the legal system to take out political opponents and 64% say Biden’s cognitive decline is getting worse every day. Hannity suggests these poor numbers could explain why Biden has been avoiding interviews, with actor Jason Bateman suggesting he appear on Hannity for an hour-long discussion about his record. However, during a podcast featuring Biden, Clinton, and Obama, it was former president Barack Obama who had to step in when Batemen brought up the suggestion, raising questions about just how much influence Obama has over Biden’s decisions.
