Hollywood Three-Car Collision Leaves Pedestrian Dead, Six Injured

A fatal three-car collision in Hollywood claimed the life of a pedestrian on Monday, and six individuals were also left injured following an incident near Gower Street and Santa Monica Boulevard around 4 p.m., according to authorities from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
The LAPD disclosed that officers responding to the area encountered a three-car collision involving their own vehicle, another car traveling westbound on Santa Monica Boulevard, and an unidentified pedestrian who was struck by one of these cars as it collided with the police automobile. This event led the patrol unit to spin out of control before hitting the individual in question.
The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) subsequently arrived at the scene and transported both the deceased person and other injured parties to a nearby hospital for treatment, though officials have since confirmed that no life-threatening injuries were sustained by any involved party aside from the pedestrian who later passed away as a result of their wounds.
At present, detectives are investigating the cause of this incident in order to determine precisely how it unfolded and whether or not criminal charges will be brought against anyone responsible for initiating these events. Those with information relating to the collision have been encouraged by LAPD representatives to get into touch at their West Traffic Division headquarters via 213-473-0222, while those who prefer anonymity can contact Crime Stoppers on either 800-222-TIPS (8477) or lacrimestoppers.org instead.
